Holiday Christmas Gifts
The 2011 Christmas season is nearly upon us and we thought that we would share our top holiday Christmas gifts for kids, teenagers, women, and men. You may remember the craziness surrounding the Cabbage Patch Kids in the early 1980's, people waiting in line for Beanie Babies in the late '90's and everyone looking for the latest HDTV and gaming system today. If this is a must have gift, order early to avoid disappointment.
This year, a couple of neat game consoles have been out for about a year. Namely, the Kinect Game Console(Xbox 360 with Kinect) and the Playstation Move. Both systems are similar to the Wii, in that your movement will dictate how the game reacts. The Kinect Sensor uses your body as the controller while the Playstation Move with the Playstation Eye uses a controller and navigation controller. Either way, both of these game systems are really cool and they will be one of the hot holiday Christmas gifts for 2011.
The Top Holiday Christmas Gift
One Christmas gift which has me saying hmmmm... I really might like this. It's the Kindle from Amazon. As Amazon says, Kindle is our #1 bestselling item for two years running. It’s also the most-wished-for, most-gifted, and has the most 5-star reviews of any product on Amazon.
If you are clueless as to what Kindle is, it allows you to read books without having to store all those books in a bookcase. So, you can read the latest novels or classics, take them on the train, to the beach, and more and more of college textbooks are making their way to Kindle. There are currently about 670,000 books available on the Kindle and I'd really like to tell you more about it (including 3G, storing up to 3500 books, etc...) but I don't know where to begin.
You really have to check it out.
"New Kindle leaves rivals farther back." - New York Times
"Amazon's newest Kindle is the best ebook-reading device on the market. It's better than the Apple iPad, the Barnes & Noble Nook, the various Sony readers…" - Fast Company
"
Simply put, it's the best dedicated ebook reader you can buy… Amazon has managed to increase the contrast on the Kindle in a way that sets it above the Nook, Sony Readers, or any other dedicated ebook reader we've tested." - PC Magazine
"Amazon has finally arrived at an e-reader product that not only slays its current competition, but also feels ready to meet the mainstream masses… In fact, the resulting design is actually extremely pleasing to hold: I could hold the Kindle to read for a couple of hours and not feel as if I was encumbered by the device in my hands. I can't say the same thing for the multipurpose Apple iPad: At 1.5 pounds (25 ounces), the iPad is nearly three times the weight of the new 8.7-ounce Kindle. That alone makes a strong argument in favor of a dedicated e-reader…" - PC World
